Trump caught red-handed
The jury has spoken, guilty on all counts. Period. Here comes all the crying from his supporters, the process was rigged. Trump was found guilty by a jury of his peers. Not some rigged sham court, like we’ve seen in Russia. A jury of his peers found this pitiful man guilty, because of all the compelling evidence, no rigging of the system, and you know what, foolish Trump supporters, if you were on that jury, you would have found him guilty as well. That’s how good Alvin Bragg’s prosecutors were. Trump paid to cover up his tawdry affairs. Now the world knows what a sorry crooked, man he is. Jail time, yeah!

Re: the June 1 article “Stand up for safer future — my wife, Laura Conover has.”
Aubrey Conover makes good points about people needed to stand up for our country. In addition to running for office, we can question candidates and follow up when they are elected. Using our voices to make sure they know what matters, like the bipartisan Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act that would help millions of families currently struggling in poverty. Or what about asking President Biden for a bold pledge to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, that has provided vaccine for a billion children so far, saving millions of lives. Perhaps the best way is to call on your Senators (202-224-3121) to pass this bill and call on the president for bold Gavi support. It will take all of us to empower our government to take the road to a better country and a better world, please do your part.

Trump is correct, it was rigged!
Trump is correct in saying his prosecution and conviction was “rigged.” From the Democrat-controlled NY state Legislature changing the statute of limitations to target Trump, to Democrat Alvin Braggs campaigning to go after him, to the lead prosecutor having been No. 3 at Biden’s USDOJ, to Democrat Judge Merchan making campaign donations to Biden, and whose daughter is a Democrat funding activist, to a Democrat jury. Yes it was all rigged to get Trump. Judge Merchan allowed salacious testimony by Daniels. He prevented an expert witness on campaign finance laws from testifying for the defense. He allowed an eight-day recess so the jurors could be pressured and influenced by other Trump-hating Democrats. The prosecution had the last voice giving a six-hour closing argument. And Judge Merchan issued jury instructions favoring a conviction. Hypocrite Biden called Trump’s comments about the verdict reckless, dangerous, and irresponsible. The same Biden who directly attacked conservative SCOTUS attendees during his State on the Union for their “verdict” on Roe vs. Wade!

Unknown jurors
Only unknown jurors were used, as I recall when a dangerous Mafia boss was being charged in a criminal trial. This was done to not only protect the jurors, but their families as well.
Today the unknown juror was used in a criminal trial of a former United States President. Should we be asking why the judge felt that was necessary?

Fair trial then and now
If you believe that Donald Trump was able to get a fair trial in New York facing a Democrat Judge, a 12-person Democrat jury and a Democrat prosecutor, you must also believe that a Black man got a fair trial in Mississippi in the 1940s facing a white judge (probably Democrat), a 12-person white jury (probably all Democrats) and a white prosecutor (probably Democrat.)

Trump’s schemes involve fabricating untrue accusations of criminal activity against opponents (such as Biden weaponizing the justice system?). Applying his unique/toxic mind, he then invents past, present, and future dictatorial justifications for fulfilling these very same crimes himself. Which his gullible base swallows.
Brilliant ... if one considers depravity a sign of brilliance.
One slip-up occurred, however. It would have been smarter for Trump to commit his crimes in a Republican-controlled state. Then he could have been assured that the state’s public officials ― including US Reps/Senators ― would predictably (based on past behavior) abandon oaths of office, and a jury of peers would likely wriggle out of truth-seeking civic duty.

History and dictators
I would like to point out some of the parallels between, some of the 20th century dictators and DJT. Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini and Castro, when giving speeches would give long theatrical, incoherent ramblings. For those readers not familiar with those despots, google them. The main themes in their propaganda, was to blame the ills of their nations on certain segments of the population. Some of the favorites were Jews, Gypsies, Bolsheviks and others. The speeches would bring about hate and distrust within their population. That hate helped them rule unabated. Number 45 has his favorites, Liberals being the first choice. Recently, however for those how do not agree with him, are now communists. Communists, really? As an individual who wore the uniform for 20 years I find this unbelievable, especially coming from bone spurs. America is great not because of him, but in spite of him. History is a teacher.

Engel all the way
The barrage of critical letters about Juan Ciscomani are entirely justified as his record clearly disqualifies him. Please keep in mind that the antidote to Ciscomani-itis is Democratic candidate Kirsten Engel. Engel is not merely a good alternative she is a great candidate with values closely aligned with the voters in the 6th Congressional district.
Engel displays a keen sense of intellectual curiosity and a strong commitment to serving the public. As a member of the Arizona legislature for five years, she was recognized as a leader. Many legislators claim to “work across the aisle,” but Engel really did, and she got results.
She has the compassion to push for improved health benefits and recognizes that a woman’s health care choices are between her and her doctor. She admits that both Democrats and Republics have failed to fix immigration as she calls for comprehensive reform.
Her compassion, competence and willingness to compromise clearly make her the best choice in November.

I am lucky to have lived in the best possible period in American history. Born immediately after WWII my early years were when the United States was the most revered and envied place in the world. Our country had just saved the world from tyranny and madness. We had food aplenty and a modern infrastructure that provided sanitation and health care benefits better than any place on earth. As the decades flew, past mistakes were made. But we overcame – and came out of it even better. But now we have a former President calling our country fascist, elected officials calling our entire judicial system rigged, half of the country and its leaders not accepting election results, college protesters supporting a violent terrorist organization, and we have news organizations and social media sites that knowingly lie. In a way I would love to come back in 100 years to see what we’ve become ... But then again, I don’t think I’d want to see it.

Biden’s lies about not having border authority
President Biden is expected to announce executive actions on the border. He repeatedly lied to the American people previously saying that he had done all he could do on the border and Congress needed to act. He already had broad border authority under 212(f) of the INA. Biden and Democrats wanted the Senate border bill passed, which was not a border security bill, but rather a codification of 5,000, who could enter daily illegally and apply for asylum. It excluded from the count, people entering from “non-contiguous countries.” Biden and Democrats have no interest in the real border security bill, HR2, that already passed in the House of Representatives. Biden’s interest now in reducing illegal entry numbers is blatantly political coming five months before the election. He could have announced these Executive actions three years ago, but instead, purposely engineered an open border allowing over 7,000,000+ from around the world to enter illegally. The damage has already been done jeopardizing our public and national security.
