Sad to say, I just did my "walk" around the Tucson Mall on Aug 9th and was shocked to see that "Red Robin" was boarded up. I moved here from the Chicago area in 1993. They had great burgers and a full bar along with every wall covered with pictures, posters, memorabilia from movies, sports, etc. The ONLY place in the mall to get a " REAL" drink. My wife & I would explore the whole mall ( the largest in Tucson) and would get some great food & a drink when we were finished. Red Robin was always packed whenever we went there. It was a total shock to see it boarded up when I went there this week. It was like an old friend had died & nobody told you about it. They were there from , pretty much from the beginning of the malls existence. Except the anchor stores ( Sears, Pennys, Dilliards, & Macys) Red Robin has been there from the start. Seeing as the place was relatively packed most of the time...WHY did they close ???
