Magnus wasn't required to quote these bills in his incisive analysis so I shall. First, he seems to be talking about the pending concealed carry Reciprocity Act. This does not open the door for a flood of guns to endanger cops. The legislation does not negate the requirement for fingerprinting and "NICS" checks on each applicant for a carry license. BTW, how many LEO's have been shot by CCW holders, Chief? Next, the upcoming SHARE Act, HR 3668, does not unleash suppressors (unwittingly called 'silencers' ) on the public. Suppressors will only be sold and transferred in the same manner as firearms, with all the BATFE forms and NICS checks still in place. BTW, there is no device that completely silences gun shots. Suppressors reduce the noise but hearing protection is still recommended. So, the Chief either misunderstands the legislation, or chooses to obfuscate it for political reasons.
