In response to the article last week about the controversial Facebook posting by two of the owners of Cup It Up, Ana Henderson called for Republicans to support the restaurant and show up and be heard. Well, I believe, Ana, that most of the regular customers HAVE spoken up and do not support the views of the two owners. Firstly why would a business that caters to a college crowd, many of whom are liberal leaning, put such a posting up? Yes, freedom of speech and all that, but one must know one's customers and realize not all are going to think the same. Seems the owners had no problem taking the good money of their customers, perhaps they should have gotten to KNOW their customers before investing in the area. Actions (such as NOT supporting the restaurant anymore) speak louder than words. Being a protest type from the 60's, I applaud the youth of today finally taking to the streets (or social media) and taking a stand.
