“Criticizing journalists for covering a mass shooting is, in a way, like saying the police love violent crime because it keeps them employed.” This is not a good comparison at all. We need police because people commit crimes. No crimes, no police. You need issues to write about. No issues, no opinion writers. You make a living by criticizing others, but when you are criticized you take offense. The NRA is only projecting by saying you love mass shootings, just like you and other opinion writers project that President Trump is a “racist”. Then when he responds defensively you say he is thin skinned. Maybe you should find another profession if you cannot accept criticism as well as you dole it out.
