50,000 teachers march on the state Capitol, those 50,000 represent thousands more, families, friends and other supporters. Maybe, just maybe, the people of Arizona are fed up with the politics as usual, the lack of vision,the out of touch Governor and Legislature! Just maybe, the onslaught of negative public opinion in an election year might be enough, or maybe the voice of the people will be loud enough to say, enough is enough. I am one of those voices and I will be heard!
There is an empowerment of the people happening, I would not be so quick to say there is no leverage. While your point is well taken, don’t underestimate the power of the people. We put those legislators in office, we can take them out and they know it!
