Apparently, the letter writer is not aware of the fact that you play the other members of your conference no matter how good or bad they may be. He also appears unaware that college football schedules are made many years in advance, when nobody knows for sure how good or bad an opponent will be.
With all of the coaching vacancies available, this is a REALLY bad time to be looking for a new head coach and I know from perusing ASU message boards that many ASU fans are angry and upset that Todd Graham may be replaced by Herman Edwards, a man whose resume is less than impressive. Time will be the ultimate judge, but ASU may have made a big mistake.
ASU has a long-standing reputation of having more than its fair share of classless fans. It's unfortunate the writer felt obliged to write and confirm that belief.
