Golden Pin Lanes has historical value. It was the second longest stop on the P.B.A. Tour and it's recognized. I understand the owner wants to start a new chapter in his life but once a bowler, always a bowler. There is no bowling center in Tucson that hosts big tournaments, great leagues, and giving the children/junior bowlers a chance to practice for free. Not to mention tourneys for charitable causes like cancer and other debilitating illnesses. Golden Pins is the mecca that makes Tucson what it is to bowlers. 48 prime lanes in great condition and competition is always high. The PWBA will be here in June 2019 which will attract visitors from all over. If Pima County wants to do something right, they'll let the facility remain a bowling center. Everyone knows the name, "Golden Pin Lanes." Brunswick is a corporation and Vantage is already expensive to begin with. Sundays give bowlers an opportunity to bowl at low fees. It's always full.
