Aly, a 6-10 center for Bakersfield, and Pinder, a 6-9 reserve for the Wildcats, both played together at Wichitaβs Sunrise Christian Academy and at Hutchinson Community College, also in Kansas.
Small world: UA guard Kadeem Allen was the NJCAA player of the year at Hutchinson CC before coming to Arizona, and Serbian big man Dusan Ristic played in high school at Sunrise Christian before becoming a Wildcat.
Neither Allen nor Ristic, though, played at their respective spots at the same time as Aly or Pinder.Β
