Tucson Electric Power proposed a 138-kilovolt power line through central Tucson, with towers that would be up to 110-feet tall. Some neighbors protested, the City Council got involved, and now Tucson voters are being asked to pay about $1 per month more for 25 years, largely to pay for burying the lines underground.
