Pima’s Deion James, the ACCAC’s co-player of the year, was offered a scholarship by Washington State coach Ernie Kent last week.

Pima College first-team NJCAA basketball All-AmericanΒ Deion JamesΒ of Empire High School is on the recruiting trail. He visited Fresno State last week and is visiting Washington State and Colorado State this week. To help replace James, PCC coachΒ Brian PeabodyΒ last week signed Catalina Foothills shooting standoutΒ Nik Nehls, son of Arizona’s 1980 All-Pac-10 guardΒ Joe Nehls. Peabody also was successful in his pursuit of Ironwood Ridge athleteΒ Cole Gerken, who might’ve been as good as any high school basketball player in Tucson last season. …
