Pima Collegeβs womenβs basketball team, which finished No. 3 in the nation under coachΒ Todd HolthausΒ last season, began official workouts Saturday morning. The Aztecs are loaded. Sophomore point guardΒ Sydni StallworthΒ of Palo Verde High was recently offered a full scholarship by Alaska-Anchorage coachΒ Ryan McCarthy, whose team finished 38-3 last year and reached the NCAA Division II Final Four. I think McCarthy finished No. 2 toΒ Adia BarnesΒ inΒ Greg Byrneβs search for a womenβs basketball coach at Arizona.
