Guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright sat on the bench again Saturday in sweats because of his high ankle sprain, but UA coach Sean Miller indicated he might not have to do so as long as the Wildcats initially feared.

Jackson-Cartwright suffered an injury on Nov. 30 that typically takes between 4-8 weeks to heal, and Miller said a few days afterward that it might take “two months” — but was much more optimistic after Saturday’s game.

“He’s moving in the direction of coming back,” Miller said. “We’re hoping if we can have a good couple of weeks here, we can get him back more toward the beginning of our conference than the end of January.”
