Salpointe Catholic senior guardΒ Cameron MillerΒ was far more thanΒ Sean Miller’s son during his final year of high school basketball. He averaged 12 points, four assists and two steals per game, and completed his career with 1,004 points. His coach,Β Brian Holstrom, describes Miller’s season this way: β€œHe played for and captained a well-rounded team and he was typically coached to make defending the other teams leading guard or scorer his highest priority. I think so highly of Cameron because he went all-in with his role on our team. He’s a great point guard, but we needed him to play a lot of shooting guard for us to get him shots. He is offensively gifted and skilled, but he had to work really hard to defend other teams’ best scorers to help us win. A lot of people his age say the company line of β€˜just wanting to win,’ but Cameron is a flat-out team player and a winner.” Sounds a lot like his dad.Β
