Stanford football coachย David Shawย last week hired ex-Santa Rita High School defensive backย Ron Gouldย to be part of the Cardinal coaching staff. Gould most recently was head coach at UC Davis, after 11 years coaching at Cal. Stanford now has four Tucson-connected coaches: secondary bossย Duane Akina, linebackers coachย Peter Hanson, special teams coachย Pete Alamarย and Gould.ย
