No. 7 Arizona vs. Oregon

Arizona center Kaleb Tarczewski (35) and Oregon guard Casey Benson (2) jostle as they try to corral a rebound during the first half of the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats vs. Oregon Ducks men's college basketball game on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, in Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore.

Schmitz says

“Physically, they call him Zeus for a reason. He’s strong, mobile, athletic. Moves really well. Is going to be able to hedge a pick and roll and recover and do all those things. He’s a really smart team defender…what hurts him is that the NBA is so much about rim protection. I think the fact that he doesn’t block a lot of shots hurts him a little bit…His one-on-one post defense is really good. He’s strong, his technique is really good. His ability to keep the ball in front of the pick and roll and recover. His ability to help from the weak side, not necessarily blocking shots but being there to alter the shot at the rim. He’s a really smart team defender… Teams are going to see him in workouts and see this guys a monster physically, he’s athletic, he’s mobile, he can run the floor. There’s a ton of things to like about him…I don’t think he’s ever going be a major threat offensively, but we’ve seen that he can knock down a 15-footer, he’s been a really good free throw shooter in the past. He has decent touch on his jump shot.”
