If you have kids that will turn 5 by Sept. 1, it's time to get them registered for kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year.
If kindergarten round-ups are being held in your district, it's a good idea to go so you can get an idea of what the school is like and get a head start on registration paperwork.
If there isn't a round-up or if you missed it, no worries. You can still set up a tour of the school you're interested in.
Before you go, make sure you have your child's immunization records, birth certificate and two proofs of residency, which can be a lease, mortgage or utility bills that proves residency at that address.
