Scooby watch: The UA’s linebacker is on the cover by himself and mentioned in “five more to watch” in the Heisman race behind 10 favorites. He’s on the All-Pac-12 team with receiver Cayleb Jones.

Projecting Arizona: The Wildcats are ranked 17th in Sporting News’ Top 25 and third in the Pac-12 South behind USC and UCLA. The magazine declared Arizona as the “underrated” team in the league. The Foster Farms Bowl in Santa Clara, California is the UA’s bowl destination according to the magazine. The publication has concern over Arizona’s schedule, which includes 12 straight games and no natural bye week.

From the pages: “As impressive as Arizona’s jump to the top of the Pac-12 was, it was dulled somewhat by two disastrous games (losses to Oregon and Boise State) to finish the season. Still, there is plenty of good happening in Tucson, with QB Anu Solomon leading a dangerous offense and linebacker Scooby Wright the face of the defense. The Wildcats must play better — with more consistency — in big games.” — the breakdown of Arizona’s No. 17 ranking.
