Athletic director Greg Byrne said goodbye to Arizona Wildcats fans with a tweet early Friday morning, one day after wrapping up his tenure in McKale Center.

The social media-savvy Byrne was introduced last week as the new athletic director at Alabama. He'll start his new job March 1. Between now and then, Byrne tweeted Friday, he'll be laying low with his wife, Regina. Byrne's two sons, Davis and Nick, are expected to stay in Tucson. Both are UA students.
