The Arizona Wildcats completed a three-game sweep of North Dakota State on Sunday, topping the Bison 11-2 in front of 2,709 at Hi Corbett Field.
The Wildcats (9-6) scored seven runs in the second inning to pull ahead. Tate Soderstrom was hit by a pitch, Cameron Cannon singled and Matt Fraizer moved both runners up with a bunt. Travis Moniot scored Soderstrom with a groundout to pull the Cats even, 1-1.
Mitchell Morimoto then walked and Cal Stevenson ripped an RBI single. Ryan Haug walked and Alfonso Rivas singled, making it 5-1. Cannon, hitting for the second time, made it 7-1 with a two-run single.
The Wildcats outscored the Bison 33-9 over three games, and have outscored opponents 46-13 total during the four-game streak.
Left-hander Randy Labaut was solid on the mound, allowing one run on six hits in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out one and walked two. Juan Aguilera, Preston Price, Zach Stone and Preston Guardado combined to pitch 3 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.
Arizona next plays Arizona State at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. The matchup will be shown on Pac-12 Arizona, and will not count as a conference game.
