Home run Scott Kingery. The Philadelphia Phillies could get used to it, and they've seen two of them in as many days from their rookie.Β
The former Arizona Wildcat hit a grand slam in just his ninth game as a pro, one day after hitting his first career home run. Tuesday night's slam came off Cincinnati Reds pitcher Cody Reed in the bottom of the eighth inning with a 2-1 Phillies advantage.

Philadelphia went on to win 6-1 and improved to 5-5 on the season, four games back of the first-place Mets. The Phillies are 5-2 with Kingery in the starting lineup and 4-1 when he records a hit.
βItβs unbelievable,β PhilliesΒ manager Gabe Kapler told Philly.comΒ aboutΒ Kingery's grand slam. βBiggest moment, big stage, looking for a pitch to drive down in the zone. Heβs really good at that and got on a slider and there we go. Pretty special.β
Kingery, the No. 35 prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline, is carving out an everyday role in Philadelphia by proving he can do it all. Kingery has started three games at third base, three at shortstop, one in right field, and has made in-game switches to left field and second base. He's pinch hit twice.
Kingery is batting .258 with a .324 on-base percentage. He has two home runs, six RBIs and a stolen base in seven starts and nine appearances.Β
In March, the 23-year-old agreed to a six-year deal worth $24 million. Philadelphia hasn't been to the postseason since 2011, the last of a five-year stretch when it claimed five NL East pennants, won the franchise's second World Series title (1980, 2008) and made two consecutive trips to the Fall Classic (2008, '09).
The first home run of Kingery's career came a night earlier, when he golfed a pitch over the left-field fence.
