CHICAGO -- Arizona will have three representatives playing in the NBA Combine 5-on-5 games Thursday and Friday -- and another three coaching in the games.

Rawle Alkins will play on a Team 1 that has former UA player Bret Brielmaier as head coach, while Kobi Simmons will be on a Team 3 that has Matt Brase is an assistant coach. Kadeem Allen is playing for Team 2.

Jesse Mermuys, meanwhile, will be the head coach of Team 4. While he won't be coaching any former UA players, he will have Oregon's Tyler Dorsey and UCLA's Thomas Welsh on his team.

Mermuys is former UA staffer who is now a Lakers assistant coach. Brase is a former UA player and assistant coach who was the head coach of the D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers the past two seasons, while Brielmaier is a former UA player now serving as a Nets assistant.

ESPN2 is scheduled to cover the combine Thursday between 12-4 p.m. While the coverage is likely to jump between all of the proceedings, there's a 1-vs.-2 game scheduled for 12:08 p.m. and a 3-4 game scheduled for 2:10 p.m.

That means Alkins (Team 1) and Allen (2) will face each other in the first game, while Simmons will play in the second one.

New Oregon commit Miles Norris told the Oregonian that Arizona had "too many people the same position as me."
