STANFORD, Calif. --- Arizona knifed through Stanford with its most efficient offense of the season, blowing out the Cardinal 91-52 before a mild crowd of about 3,500 fans at Maples Pavilion.

The Wildcats shot 62.5 percent from the field, hit 10 of 14 3-pointers and made 21 of 23 free throws. The 3-point percentage of 71.4 was a season high, as was the 91.3 percent mark from the line, while the overall field-goal percentage was second only to the 63.2 percent UA put up in an 85-63 win over Texas Southern.

The UA's 39-point margin of victory was also a season high, surpassing a 31-point win over New Mexico and a 30-point win over Sacred Heart.

Forward Lauri Markkanen epitomized the Wildcats' offensive efficiency: He scored 15 points by taking only four field goals. He made all four shots, three of which were from three-point territory, and was 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.

Rawle Alkins, meanwhile, tied his season-high in scoring with 19 points while going 4 for 7 from the field and making all eight free throws he took.Dusan Ristic added 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting while Chance Comanche collected his first career double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Stanford, meanwhile, shot just 34.5 percent and made just 3 of 16 3-pointers. Reid Travis led the Cardinal with 11 points and eight rebounds.

The win moved the Wildcats to 13-2 overall and 2-0 in Pac-12 play heading into a home game Thursday against Utah. Stanford dropped to 8-6 and 0-2.

In the first half, Alkins and Markkanen had 10 points each while Arizona rode an efficient offense to a 49-30 halftime lead.

Alkins hit 2 of 3 3-pointers and was 4 of 4 from the free throw line, while Markkanen scored his 10 while taking just two field goals โ€“ he was 2 for 2 from 3-point range and was 4 of 4 from the line.

Arizona shot 66.7 percent overall from the field, made 5 of 6 3-pointers and hit all 12 free throws it took.

Stanford shot 46 percent and was 2 of 9 from long range. Dorian Pickens led the Cardinal with seven points.

The Wildcatsโ€™ smooth offense showed up early, with Dusan Ristic going 3 for 3 over the first four minutes and Alkins hitting all four free throws he took over the same span.

UA built early 12-4 and 17-6 leads before Stanford came back with a 9-0 run that made it 17-15 but the Cardinal never came any closer. Alkins hit a pair of 3-pointers, while Markkanen made another and it was 26-17 by the midway point of the half.

The Wildcats are playing again without guard Allonzo Trier, who is sitting out his 15th game of an unspecified NCAA suspension.

Trier traveled with the Wildcats to the Bay area, and took some early shots before pregame warmups, but has been watching his teammates before today's UA-Stanford game at Maples Pavilion.

Trier was cleared to travel by the NCAA before the Wildcats' Dec. 3 game with Gonzaga in Los Angeles, according to UA coach Sean Miller.

Stanford, meanwhile, has been playing forward Michael Humphrey after the former Phoenix Sunnyslope star did not play against ASU on Friday because he was in concussion protocol.

Arizona used the same starting lineup it has since point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright suffered a high ankle sprain on Nov. 30. Jackson-Cartwright returned at Cal off the bench and today.
