Arizona guard Jaden Bradley was named a Sporting News third-team all-American on Wednesday, being honored again for more than his statistics.
On Monday, Big 12 coaches voted Bradley as the Big 12 Player of the Year, even though he averages just 13.4 points and the Sporting News also gave him credit for his overall contributions to a 29-2 team. Bradley is the Wildcats' undisputed leader and has helped them win several games with his clutch play.
"None of his stats are dazzling. Maybe he isn’t, either, unless it’s absolutely required," wrote Mike DeCourcy of the Sporting News. "The results surely are, and they would be entirely different with someone else running the Arizona attack.
"In the heavyweight season opener against Florida, he scored 11 of Arizona’s final 18 points. When Arizona trailed UCLA by 8 with 7 minutes left, Bradley scored 13 of his team’s final 20 points and assisted on a teammate’s 3-pointer. When victory is on the line, he is college basketball’s best point guard."
Arizona guard Jaden Bradley (0) is guarded by UConn guard Malachi Smith in the second half, Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, in Storrs, Conn.
Bradley becomes the Wildcats' fourth All-American under fifth-year coach Tommy Lloyd and first in two seasons.
The Sporting News named Caleb Love a third-team All-American in 2023-24, when Love was also a second-team All-American pick by the NABC and USBWA. Bennedict Mathurin (2021-22) and Azuolas Tubelis (2022-23) were consensus second-team All-Americans under Lloyd.
