NBA players can be petty. Very petty.
In the midst of another soap opera situation in the association between Minnesota Timberwolves and star Jimmy Butler, Lauri Markkanen went to social media at a perfect time.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Butler wanted to be traded from Minnesota to either the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets or Los Angeles Clippers. During the 2017 NBA Draft, the Timberwolves drafted Markkanen at No. 7 overall, but traded the draft rights to Chicago in exchange for Butler.
Markkanen is one of the notable up-and-comers in the NBA, and he became the fastest player in league history to make 100 3-pointers and only needed 41 games to do it. With Butler's time in Minnesota fading away, Markkanen posted a timely throwback Thursday post.
