Rawle Alkins and Kadeem Allen, the two players who left Arizona's bench during a scuffle late in the Wildcats' game with Cal State Bakersfield, should have been ejected but not suspended, a Pac-12 spokesman said Thursday evening.

After a request from the Star, the Pac-12 sought clarification from league officials. The Pac-12 said after its review and clarification it was determined that the players should have been ejected but that their actions did not warrant a technical foul or suspension.

NCAA rule 10 (section 5, articles 10-11 in the rulebook) state that bench players called for fighting are assessed a flagrant 2 foul and suspended for the next game.

Allen was sitting out Tuesday's game with a knee sprain though Alkins played 30 minutes against the Roadrunners.
