Didn't take long for former Arizona Wildcat forward Dennis Latimore to find himself in LaVar Ball's crosshairs.
In fact, Latimore's first season at Chino Hills High School hadn't even started Monday when LaVar said he would pull youngest son LaMelo Ball out of school and off the team. LaVar said he would homeschool his son and train him.
"I'm going to make him the best basketball player ever," LaVar told the Los Angeles Times.
LaVar told the Times in August that there was going "to be new drama" at Chino Hills because "I don't like him one bit," referring to Latimore. In an interview with ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, LaVar referred to Latimore and Chino staffers as "those knuckleheads" and said he didn't want them to "mess with (LaMelo's) head."
A Top 50 high school player from Kansas known for being easygoing and introspective, Latimore spent most of the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons at Arizona, then transferred to Notre Dame. He played briefly in Europe before beginning a career of mentoring and coaching youth.
