Arizona guard Allonzo Trier will apparently sit out his 17th game of the season tonight because of his ongoing, opaque NCAA suspension.

UA has made no official comment on Trier's status since October, and the NCAA has also declined comment on his situation.

There had been speculation Trier might return tonight for UA’s game with Colorado because it is the Wildcats’ first since the midway point of the season. Some appeals to the NCAA can result in a half-season suspension instead of a full season.

Trier shook up his usual pregame routine tonight. He put in an intense hourlong workout in the late afternoon then did not show for the Wildcats’ usual pregame workout 90 minutes before the game, when he usually is there to watch early warmups. He also did not show up 20 minutes before the game when the Wildcats went through final pregame warmups.

UA has not commented on Trier’s eligibility status since October, and the NCAA has also declined comment on the situation.
