Arizona vs. North Carolina State

Arizona and Indiana are in discussions for a series that would pit brothers Sean MillerΒ andΒ Archie MillerΒ against each other, the Star has learned.

The series would take place in once per season from 2019-22, with Indiana traveling to McKale Center in 2019, Arizona visiting Bloomington in 2020 and finally with the two teams traveling to New York for a game at Madison Square Garden in 2021.Β

Arizona is in early discussions with Indiana, though nothing is official yet and just because the Millers are involved doesn't mean the series will necessarily come to fruition. The Wildcats have never played the Hoosiers before.Β

Archie Miller was hired by Indiana in March after six years as the coach at Dayton. Before that, Archie was on Sean Miller's staff at Arizona from 2009-11.Β

Archie Miller addressed the possibility of a series with Arizona at his introductory press conference, saying β€œI don't know if (Indiana athletic director) Fred (Glass) is actually going to have the ability to communicate with Sean as easily as me, but I think that's something that down the line would be really cool. He actually mentioned it to me; β€˜we can do that’. It's just got to be right for both places.”
