The Arizona Wildcats will open their season Nov. 15 with a game against Cal State Bakersfield, part of a month in which they'll host Sacred Heart and Northern Colorado as part of the Las Vegas Invitational, the UA announced Friday.
The full schedule fits with what the Star has been reporting since late-May, but now include the Sacred Heart and Northern Colorado games at McKale Center that are part of the Las Vegas Invitational.
The Wildcats' nonconference schedule includes just one true road game, a Dec. 10 contest at Missouri.The Wildcats will play four neutral-site events. The team has yet to set start times; their Pac-12 schedule will be unveiled later this summer.Β
The UA's home schedule technically begins Nov. 1 with an exhibition against College of Idaho; the team will hold an exhibition against Chico State five days later, then travel to Honolulu for an Armed Forces Classic game against Michigan State.
The Las Vegas Invitational begins with home games against Sacred Heart and Northern Colorado in McKale Center, and continues with games against Santa Clara and either Vanderbilt or Butler in Sin City. The UA plays in a third neutral-site event, the Dec. 3 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Game against Gonzaga; a fourth, against Texas A&M in Houston, will take place on Dec. 17.
The UA will play three home games in the month of December: Against UC Irvine (Dec. 6), Grand Canyon (Dec. 14) and New Mexico (Dec. 20). The team's Pac-12 schedule will be released later this summer. Here's a look at Arizona's nonconference schedule. Home games are in bold:
