Arizona dropped seven spots to No. 24 on Monday but maintained its three-year-long streak of staying in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Wildcats, who are in the Bahamas for Battle 4 Atlantis competition that begins Wednesday against Davidson, haven’t been out of the poll since the beginning of Lloyd’s first season in 2021-22.

They were unranked in the preseason and first-week polls that season before beating Michigan in Las Vegas to climb in, and went on to spend the final four weeks of the season at No. 2 (AP Top 25 polls were not conducted after the NCAA Tournament until last season.)

In 2022-23, the Wildcats were ranked No. 17 in the preseason poll and never were ranked lower during the season, reaching as high as No. 5.

Last season, UA started at No. 12 and finished in that place but spent two weeks at No. 1 in December.

This season, Arizona was ranked No. 10 in the AP Preseason Top 25, rose to No. 9 a week later and fell to 17 after losing 103-88 at Wisconsin on Nov. 15. They lost 69-55 to Duke on Nov. 22.

Arizona Wildcats guard Jaden Bradley (0) walks off the court with his team after the Wildcats’ loss to Duke at McKale Center on Nov. 22, 2024. Duke won 69-55.
