LAS VEGAS -- Arizona will be playing again without guard Allonzo Trier tonight against Santa Clara, after their sophomore guard did not travel with the Wildcats to Las Vegas.
Trier has now missed five regular-season and two exhibition games because of his eligibility issue, and he is unlikely to play on Friday on the final day of the Las Vegas Invitational.
UA has consistently declined to comment on Trier's status.
Butler defeated Vanderbilt 76-66 before UA's game tonight, meaning the Bulldogs will face the winner of Arizona's game with Santa Clara on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Arizona time.
