Arizona's recruiting efforts continued to suffer more fallout from allegations in the federal complaint released last week, with Bol Bol telling ESPN's Jeff Borzello at a USA Basketball camp that he has eliminated Arizona and USC.
"Some of the schools were under investigation," Bol told Borzello "I just didn't really want to be a part of that."
Interviewing players at a USA Basketball camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Borzello also reported that Jahvon Quinerly remains committed to Arizona "for now," and that his family has hired a lawyer but has not talked with the FBI.
Quinerly also told Scout's Evan Daniels that last week was "the worst week of my life," but did not comment in Borzello's story when asked if he took any money (the federal complaint quoted a sports agent saying Quinerly took $15,000).
Since UA assistant coach Book Richardson and nine other figures were arrested on Sept. 26, Arizona has lost out on all of its remaining five-star targets: Nassir Little committed to North Carolina, Simi Shittu canceled a planned Nov. 4 recruiting visit and the top-rated player in the class of 2018, R.J. Barrett, eliminated the Wildcats while announcing a top three of Oregon, Kentucky and Duke.
"I liked Arizona, the coaches and players, but I decided to remove them from the list," Barrett wrote in his USA Today blog.
Arizona's other two committed players from the class of 2018, guard Brandon Williams and forward Shareef O'Neal, remain on board, though there has been speculation O'Neal will flip to Kentucky.
