R.J. Barrett, a highly rated forward from Mississauga, Ontario, is considering Arizona, Oregon, Duke, Kentucky and Michigan.

Even with Marvin Bagley having reclassified out of 2018 and taken himself off the board to Duke, the Arizona Wildcats have another shot at what might now be the top player in the class of 2018.

Canadian forward R.J. Barrett, who just reclassified into 2018, named UA among his top five schools. He's also considering Duke, Michigan, Kentucky and Oregon.

While the Ducks have a notable Canadian connection, having north-of-the-border standouts Dillion Brooks, Chris Boucher and Dylan Ennis last season, the Wildcats pulled in their first Canadian player this year in Emmanuel Akot.

And it might help UA's cause that Barrett played along with Akot (and Simi Shittu, another UA target) on Canada's U17 team last summer.

Barrett and Shittu are both listed on 24/7 Sports' composite Top 10 rankings, along with fellow UA targets Cam Reddish and Bol Bol.Β

While Barrett is rated No. 1 by Scout and Rivals, ESPN has him at No. 2 behind Zion Williamson.
