Arizona has been looking into an incident before Thursday night's UA-ASU game in which ASU guard Torian Graham initially claimed there were racial slurs as he flashed a rude hand gesture at UA students while walking off the McKale Center floor following warmups.

"I apologies for my actions, there was racial slurs said, and I didn't react the right way as I should," Graham tweeted, before deleting the tweet. "My apologies to the ASU program."

So far, UA said in a statement that it has found no evidence that there were any such comments.

β€œWe continue to look into the accusation made by Arizona State’s Torian Graham," UA's statement said. "At this time, we have not heard from anyone, including students, staff and security in proximity of the incident, who can confirm Graham's claim. While we can’t say with certainty that it did not occur, we were told by people in that area that they did not hear words or language of that nature prior to, during and after the time of the incident as well as during the game.

"We pride ourselves on our sportsmanship, take these matters very seriously, and strive to deliver an appropriate environment for visiting teams and patrons.”

ABC15's Shane Dale postedΒ video of the incidentΒ that shows UA students laughing and smiling as Graham walked by with a middle finger extended on each hand. The Star's Kelly Presnell also had the attached photo of it.
