After sweeping Cal and Stanford last week, No. 11 Arizona returns home to play Colorado and Utah, teams the Wildcats played two weeks ago on the road, which ended with a loss to the Buffaloes.
After the game in Boulder, UA head coach Sean Miller expressed his frustrations in getting the Wildcats to play with effort especially on the defensive side of the ball, but emphasized that it wasn't the player's fault, but rather his fault for not readying them such as other teams in the teams in the past.
“With our team, man, it’s really hard to get our guys to run as fast as they can and that’s not them, that’s me. I have a hard time reaching our guys,” Miller said.
Even after the game, Colorado head coach Tad Boyle was even more pleased about the victory over Arizona, because of the FBI probe involving Arizona.
“Hell yes there’s extra satisfaction. I’ve got great respect for Sean, helluva coach. I’ve got great respect for Andy Enfield. But to answer your question: Hell. Yes,” Boyle said.
Now, the Pac-12 scenario is much different.
The Wildcats currently sit atop of the conference, winners of four consecutive games, while the Buffaloes are fifth and are 2-2 since the win over Arizona.
