Arizona is fresh off a dominant win over Washington State on Saturday, currently on a four-game winning streak and were ranked in the AP's Top 25 poll (at No. 23) for the first time in two years on Sunday.

Sunday night, the Wildcats won again.

Four-star athleteΒ Casey Kline, a 2019 recruit from Brawley (California) High School, announced his verbal commitment to the Arizona Wildcats. He's the first player to commit to Arizona's 2019 class.Β

Kline told the Star that it was his relationships with Arizona's coaches and staff that sold him and made him want to commit very early in the process. Arizona co-offensive coordinatorΒ Rod SmithΒ led the UA's recruitment of Kline.

"You gotta go where you're wanted, and they were incomparable," Kline said.

Arizona is recruiting Kline, listed at 6-4 and 210 pounds, as either a tight end or outside linebacker, he said.Β He picked the UA over offers from Oregon and Washington State, and recently visited with Notre Dame. Kline visited Arizona's campus back in April.Β

Kline is the No. 261-ranked recruit in the nation for 2019, according to Scout.com, as well as the 22nd-best athlete and No. 5 in California.

Currently a junior, Kline has accounted for 530 rushing yards, 311 passing yards, 119 receiving yards and seven total touchdowns this season for Brawley. On defense, he's managed 26 tackles, one for loss, one sack, two interceptions and one forced fumble.

Arizona currently does not have a player rated four-stars in its 16-person 2018 recruiting class.Β
