HOLLYWOOD, Calif. β€” Apparently, the media is not too high on the Arizona Wildcats this season.

In the Pac-12 pre-season media poll, announced Wednesday morning at Pac-12 Media Days at Hollywood and Highland, the Wildcats were picked to finish last in the South division and received the fewest points overall in the conference.

Last year, the Wildcats were selected to finish fourth in the South and went on to a last-place finish and a 3-9 overall record.Β

A last-place pick doesn't guarantee anything, though β€” last year, Colorado was picked to finish last in the South and wound up winning the division.

USC was picked as the favorite to win the conference, with projections to win both the South division and the Pac-12 championship game over Washington, the projected North division winner.Β

Here's a look at the entire media poll, with first-place votes in parentheses.Β
