CORVALLIS, Ore. – It appears that Arizona Wildcats quarterback Anu Solomon will be making his first start since the Sept. 3 season opener.

Solomon lined up with the first unit during 7-on-7 drills before Arizona’s game against Oregon State on Saturday night at Reser Stadium here. Earlier, Solomon took snaps from starting center Nathan Eldridge and worked on handoffs with starting tailback Samajie Grant.

Solomon began the season as the starter before injuring his knee in practice Sept. 3. The redshirt junior missed the next six games before returning to play Oct. 29 against Stanford in a relief role. He came off the bench each of the past two weeks as well, rotating with redshirt sophomore Brandon Dawkins.

Safety Tellas Jones did not participate in 7-on-7s. Freshman Tristan Cooper played the "Spur” position with the first unit. Jones is dressed.

The starting linebackers were Michael Barton, John Kenny and Brandon Rutt. Rutt will start for Paul Magloire Jr., who has a groin injury.

Christian Boettcher lined up with the first team at right guard. Jacob Alsadek, listed as questionable on the injury report because of an ankle injury, is dressed.
