The Arizona Wildcats' once-endless injury list continues to shrink, but the official report for the Washington State game still includes some key personnel.
Linebacker Michael Barton (knee) and cornerback DaVonte’ Neal (ankle) are questionable for Saturday’s game in Pullman (1 p.m., Pac-12 Networks).
Barton – who took over as the starting middle linebacker after Cody Ippolito suffered a season-ending knee injury Oct. 8 – got hurt last week vs. Stanford and missed the second half. If he can’t play, senior Jake Matthews is expected to start.
Neal lost his starting job last month but remains the Wildcats’ third cornerback. They’ll need all hands on deck against Washington State, which operates out of three- or four-receiver sets on almost every play and has the third-most pass attempts in the country.
Defensive tackle Sani Fuimaono is listed as probable. He missed the USC game because of a concussion.
As expected, tailback Nick Wilson (knee) remains out. Tyrell Johnson (hamstring) also is out. Johnson has been part of the rotation at slot receiver, running back and kickoff returner.
