Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon (12) in gear on the field, fusses with his knee brace during the pregame session as the Wildcats prepare to face Stanford in their Pac-12 game at Arizona Stadium.

All signs during warmups point to Brandon Dawkins returning to the starting lineup at quarterback for the Arizona Wildcats in tonight’s game vs. Stanford.

Dawkins worked with the first group, taking snaps from starting centerΒ Nathan Eldridge. Anu Solomon is dressed for the first time since the opener and will serve as the backup. Solomon has a large brace on his left knee.

Senior Samajie Grant will start at running back for the first time in his college career.

Luca Bruno is listed as the starter at defensive tackle for the Wildcats in place of the injured Sani Fuimaono (concussion).

Christian Boettcher was at left guard with the first-team offensive line as warmups concluded. He’ll probably rotate with Freddie Tagaloa, who has been out because of a knee injury. The two are listed as co-starters on the pregame depth chart.

Based on the initial 7-on-7 look during warmups, it appears freshman Isaiah Hayes will make his third career start at free safety. Hayes sat out the USC game because of a concussion.

The kickoff returners, according to the depth chart, will be DaVonte' Neal and Tony Ellison. Tyrell Johnson and Shun Brown had been in those roles. Johnson (hamstring) is not dressed.

One other roster note: Linebacker John Kenny has switched from No. 56 to No. 52.
