Throughout this recruiting cycle, Arizona has made a concerted effort to attack the state of Texas more than it had in the past under coachย Rich Rodriguez.

The state used to be one of Arizona's main recruiting areas when Mike Stoops was coach, and it makes sense while the Wildcats are dipping their toes back in Texas with all the connections defensive coordinator Marcel Yates made there when he coached at Texas A&M.

Thursday, the Wildcats received at least a little indication that their efforts are paying off โ€” 2017 receiver Bronson Boyd from Arlington, Texas revealed a list of his Top-8 schools on Twitter, and Arizona was on it.

The other schools listed: Boise State, Colorado State, Houston, Indiana, Texas Tech and Utah, plus Oregon who hasn't offered him yet.ย 

Scout.com lists Boyd at 6-foot-3 and 183 pounds and the No. 17 receiver in Texas.
