Elijah Watson is no longer a part of Arizona’s 2017 recruiting class.
The two-star defensive lineman had been committed to the Wildcats since April, but the Wildcats parted ways with Watson on Monday, sources told the Star.
All indications are that the decision had more to do with off-field issues, not recruiting or anything football-related.
Watson tweeted that he decommitted and thanked "the coaches for all they've done."

Back in September, rumors circulated that Watson decommitted from Arizona’s class, but those rumors proved to be unfounded.
Arizona’s class is now down to 26 verbally committed players, although more additions are expected in the coming months. Watson, a 6-4, 275 pound defensive tackle, is playing his senior season at the prestigious IMG Academy after transferring from Mountain View in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
According to Scout.com, Watson’s other offers are from Ball State and Mercer.
