After spending the last few months repeatedly adding to their much-ballyhooed 2017 class, for the first time in a while, Arizona will be distracting.

Monday, defensive lineman Elijah Watson decommitted from Arizona. Watson — who is from Lawrenceville, Georgia but relocated to IMG Academy in Florida for his senior season — committed to the Wildcats early in the process back in late-April.

As a two-star recruit, according to Scout.com, he didn't have any other major offers, but since moving to a top-tier program like IMG it's likely that he's begun receiving interest from other Power Five conference programs.

Arizona still has 25 players committed for its 2017 class, so it's not a huge loss necessarily. The Wildcats do need bodies on the defensive line, though, and Watson — listed at 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds — was expected to enroll early and practice in the spring.

The Wildcats have three defensive linemen committed for 2017 — Matt Leo, Bryce Brand and Kurtis Brown. Desert Ridge's Jalen Harris is considered a hybrid defensive end/linebacker, as well.
