Anu Solomon will transfer from Arizona.

Solomon's decision, which was announced on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, doesn't come as too much of a surprise. We covered the circumstances surrounding Solomon's decision were covered in more detail here.Β

So now, as with any prominent graduate transfer, it becomes a guessing game.

Where will Solomon go?

He certainly has desirable credentials β€” two full years as a starting quarterback in the Pac-12, one of them an impressive 2014 campaign where he helped Arizona to a Pac-12 South title and a berth in the Fiesta Bowl.

Plus, with Solomon expected to graduate from Arizona β€” either December or May β€” he'll be eligible to play immediately.Β

Here are some candidates for Solomon's next destination.

(Note: As of now, Solomon doesn't have any restrictions on where he can transfer to, but if it's a team on Arizona's schedule next season, that could change. That would include all four conference teams on this list.)Β

* UNLV: This is the obvious one. The Rebels are coached byΒ Tony Sanchez, Solomon's head coach from when he played a prolific four years as a starter at Bishop Gorman...in Las Vegas. Plus, on Tuesday UNLV quarterback Dalton SneedΒ announced his intent to transfer out.

*Β Hawaii: Solomon is originally from Honolulu, still has family in Hawaii, and Solomon wouldn't have to deal with as much pressure over there as he did playing in the Pac-12. Though, they might not be in the market for a quarterback after sophomoreΒ Dru Brown performed well down the stretch.

*Β Fresno State: The best candidates for graduate transfer destinations tend to be schools with a new coach, andΒ Jeff Tedford certainly fits the bill here. He long was considered a great quarterback coach when he was at California, and Tedford can get a good recommendation on Solomon from UA offensive line coachΒ Jim Michalczik.Β

*Β California: The Golden Bears went with a one-year stopgap to replace Jared GoffΒ in Texas Tech transfer Davis Webb this past season, and if Sonny Dykes is coaching for his job next season, it wouldn’t hurt to have an experienced quarterback like Solomon around for a year.Β

*Β Washington State: This only makes sense as a possibility ifΒ Luke FalkΒ leaves early for the NFL.

*Β Utah: The Utes recruited Solomon out of high school, andΒ Troy WilliamsΒ was inconsistent this past season. Though, it’s unlikely Solomon is looking to engage in another battle for playing time.

*Β Nevada: The Wolf Pack recently hiredΒ Jay Norvell to be its new head coach, and Norvell at least knows about Solomon after spending the last year as the passing game coordinator at Arizona State. Plus, Nevada needs help at the position.

*Β LSU: It seems unlikely, as Solomon has zero ties to the South, but LSU needs help at quarterback and Solomon is, in theory, a "win-now" sort of option forΒ Ed Orgeron. The Tigers started Purdue transferΒ Danny EtlingΒ at quarterback this season.Β

*Β Utah State: The Aggies are reeling after a tough year, ending with a 3-9 record. IfΒ Matt Wells is coaching for his job next season, it makes sense to push for Solomon.

*Β Oregon State:Β Marcus McMaryion showed flashes for the Beavers, including a five touchdown performance against Arizona, but if coachΒ Gary Andersen is looking to speed up the rebuild, it wouldn't hurt to bring in some competition and experience at quarterback.Β

*Β (BONUS)Β Florida Atlantic: This one is more just for fun. The offensively-mindedΒ Lane Kiffin was just hired to coach FAU, and he needs a quarterback. Solomon is a quarterback.

* (DOUBLE BONUS)Β Nebraska: Hear me out...Donte Williams was just hired off Arizona's staff and knows Solomon from his year in Tucson...the Cornhuskers' quarterback (Tommy Armstrong)Β is about to complete his senior season...just saying.Β
