No official statistics were tabulated Saturday, when the Arizona Wildcats conducted their spring football game at Arizona Stadium. But I kept a play-by-play, and I was able to compile some notable numbers.
Although these stats are unofficial, they provide a snapshot of who stood out during the scrimmage. Some disclaimers: Not every player is listed, and I did not keep track of tackles.

Notes
Updated
Arizona coach Kevin Sumlin is hoping more team leaders emerge before practice starts again this fall.
Kelly Presnell / Arizona Daily StarAlthough the offense often stalled in the red zone, Tate had a pretty good day, completing 64.3 percent of his passes.
Why was Kevin Sumlin so pleased with the running backs? “Backups” Tilford, Leon and Mariscal combined for 301 yards on 41 carries (7.3 ypc). … The running backs combined for 10 receptions. UA backs caught 13 passes all of last season.
Harris had a more productive game than I originally thought; he’s one to watch in training camp.
