Masters odds: Can Tiger Woods win at Augusta National?

One thing about Tiger Woods: You can never count him out.

When he bogeyed three out of his last four holes in Friday’s second round of the Genesis Invitational, it looked like he’d miss the cut at the Riviera Country Club.

But as the rest of the field finished up into Saturday morning, the cut line moved and Woods made the weekend in his first PGA Tour event since last July’s British Open. He then went on to shoot a 4-under 67 in Saturday’s third round and 2-over 73 in the final round to finish tied for 45th.

Woods now sets his sights on the Masters, which begins April 6. He’s currently 50-1 (+5000) odds to win at Augusta National – where he’s already won five green jackets.

In the first major of the year, Woods’ odds are better than a handful of others who are also past Masters winners, including Adam Scott (+6000), Sergio Garcia (+8000) and two-time champion Bubba Watson (+8000), according to DraftKings.

Woods made the cut at least year’s Masters, finishing T-47. He’s second on the all-time list with 15 major championships.

Heading into the Genesis Invitational this past week, Woods was 150-1 odds to win that tournament and +150 to make the cut.

Jon Rahm won for the fifth time in his last night worldwide tournament starts, firing a final round 68 to finish 17-under for the tournament at Riviera.

With just less than two months before the Masters, Rahm is back to No. 1 in the World Golf Rankings and is currently the favorite to win the year’s first major at +600.

Rory McIlroy, who is one victory at Augusta shy of a career grand slam, is +800 odds to win the Masters. McIlroy started the season ranked No 1 in the world, but is now third behind Rahm and last year’s Masters winner Scottie Scheffler, who is +1200 to win consecutive green jackets.
