With an increased focus on recruiting, the Wildcats have their sites set especially on top talent in Southern California.
The path to reeling in one of their top targets opened up on Tuesday β four-star cornerback Thomas Graham Jr., decommitted from USC, sources close to Graham told the Star. Graham confirmed the decision with a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.
Graham has been a high priority for the Wildcats ever since DontΓ© Williams was hired in January. Shortly after his hiring, Williams offered Graham a scholarship. Now the Wildcats are believed to be one of his top choices, along with Notre Dame, ASU and UCLA. He had been committed to USC since last July.Β
The 6-foot, 180 pound corner from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., was a part of a big crowd of visitors a couple weeks weeks ago and is expected to visit campus again sometime this summer.
Graham is rated the No. 44 overall recruit in 2017 by Scout.com, the No.5 corner and the No. 2 corner in the West and in California.
The Wildcats already have four-star athlete Greg Johnson of Hawkins (Calif.) verbally committed for 2017. Johnson can also play offense, but is a good bet for cornerback, and would make a potent Southern California recruiting coup alongside Graham.Β
