The buzz is building for the Arizona Wildcats’ 2025 baseball season.

D1Baseball ranked Arizona 21st in its preseason Top 25 released Monday. Last week, Perfect Game placed the Wildcats 12th in its Top 25.

Arizona advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season for the third straight year under Chip Hale after winning the Pac-12 regular-season and tournament championships.

The Wildcats return most of their top position players, including outfielder Brendan Summerhill and shortstop Mason White — both named third-team preseason All-Americans by PG.

Arizona opens the ’25 season against Ole Miss in the Shriners Children’s College Showdown on Feb. 14 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The UA also will face No. 15 Clemson and Louisville in the tournament before the home opener against New Mexico on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m.

All three teams Arizona is set to face in the Feb. 28-March 2 Astros Foundation College Classic in Houston are ranked by D1: Texas A&M (1), Mississippi State (18) and Tennessee (4).

Other ranked opponents on Arizona’s schedule include new Big 12 foes Oklahoma State (17) and TCU (23).
