The Pima College men's basketball team posted two more blowout victories last week in improving to 17-0.

The Aztecs clobbered visiting Mesa CC 95-65 on Wednesday, then thumped Community Christian (Ga.) College 114-74 at home on Saturday.

The No. 7-ranked Aztecs, 6-0 in the ACCAC, got 23 points from Mason Hunt in the win over Mesa. Isaiah Hill added 20.

Pima led 48-33 at halftime.

In the nonconference win over Community Christian (2-20), seven players scored in double figures, led by Hunt's 21.

Isaac Johnson added 17 points, while Brock Mendoza notched his 10th double-double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Pima led 58-38 at halftime and then scored another 56 in the second half.

The Aztecs continued their torrid shooting by hitting 52.1% against Mesa and 61.4% against Community Christian.

Pima next hosts Scottsdale CC at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in a conference matchup.

Women's basketball

Pima fell to No. 11 Mesa CC 71-60 at home on Wednesday.

The Aztecs (12-4, 4-2) got a triple-double from Melicia Nelson, as she notched 11 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Reigne Waugh had a team-high 13 points for Pima, which was outscored 26-11 in the second quarter and trailed 44-30 at halftime.

The Aztecs hit just 2 of 12 3-pointers.

Pima next hosts Scottsdale CC at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
